This western style commercial building in 70 Mile is a showcase of Wilderness Custom Homes’ ability to create beauty in commercial construction. From the outside detailing of the wooden sign to the interior, nothing is forgotten. At about 4,000 square feet, the store is the go-to place in 70 Mile for light snacks, gifts and groceries. The store has long isles with shelving for foods, and large coolers on both sides of the store, including a beer cooler. Two cash registers are located at the front combined with a large counter for checkouts. At the back of the store, there is a deli where fresh buns, pastries, pies and pizza are made daily.

There is also about 1,500 square feet of living area at the rear of the store. The living area comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen with oak cabinets and arborite countertops. The floors are a combination of laminate and carpet, and the living room looks out onto a large fenced yard.

The second commercial building, Mayvin Plumbing and Heating, is a 4,000-square-foot building in 100 Mile House. The building includes a back room for storage, with cement flooring throughout. As a showcase for Mayvin’s fireplaces, Wilderness Custom Homes created a stone fireplace with mantel, allowing for a fireplace unit to be installed. The countertops are arborite, and wall shelving was installed as a handy way to display merchandise.
